Season 2
The second season of South of Nowhere premiered on 29th September 2006. The season had a total of 13 episodes. In the first episode of the season, Ashley and Spencer are fully committed to each other after spending their first night together. Meanwhile Glen is recovering from his devastating injuries while Clay tries to deal with life after discovering his natural mother. Ashley is devastated by her father’s death and the news that she has half sister Kyla. Things do not go well between Ashley and Kyla and the situation is worsened by VH1 special about their father as well as Aiden’s secret love for Kyla. Ashley is upset that Spencer has not told her family about their relationship and threatens Spencer of a breakup if she does not tell them soon. Spencer finds herself to be a subject of everybody’s hatred due to her homosexuality. Meanwhile Kyla breaks up her relationship with Aiden and Madison takes her place. Clay is disturbed when his natural mother comes to town and he is further stressed when Chelsea tells him a secret that can ruin his future. Spencer is worried about how Ashley would react, when she comes to know about other aspects of her personality. Spencer decides to inform her parents about her relationship with Ashley without bothering about their reaction. Clay tries to come to terms with the fact of Chelsea being pregnant while Glen is becoming an addict of pain killers.
Paula tries to break up Spencer’s relationship with Ashley, but ends up driving her away from the family. Madison is jealous when Aiden speaks to Ashley about their relationship. Spencer and Ashley run away from home to when Paula tries to keep them apart. Meanwhile the truth about Chelsea being pregnant comes out in the open. Arthur tries to bring reunite his shattered family by organizing a paintball war. As Spencer rebinds with her family, Ashley feels that they are moving farther away from each other. While Ashley and Spencer are happy together, Spencer gets a feeling that Ashley might have been much happier with Aiden, after watching an old tape. Aiden feels that his friendship with Ashley is creating differences in her relationship with Spencer and so he decides to turn to Kyla and break Ashley’s heart. In the final episode of the season, aired on 22nd December 2006, on prom night, Clay and Chelsea enjoy their last evening together as teenagers, while Glen surprises everyone with his decision about his future. Aiden reveals a secret that transforms his relationship with his female friends forever.
Seasons Top Ranked Episode – Come Out ,Come Out Where ever You Are
This was the 7th episode of the season and was aired on 10th November 2006. In this episode, Glen plans for a party while Arthur and Paula are out for the weekend, but ends up in jail for buying drugs. Chelsea on learning of her pregnancy is uncertain about her future and tries to avoid Clay who in turn tries to be supportive. Meanwhile Spencer decides to tell her parents about Ashley and herself without worrying about their reaction.
