The second season of South of Nowhere premiered on 10th August 2007. The season was unique because the first 8 episodes were aired in August and September 2007 while the remaining 8 episodes are being aired this year since October. In the first episode of the season, the Carlin family is trying to cope with the tragedy of Clay’s death in the prom night shootout, while Ashley and Spencer’s relationship is strained in the aftermath of the tragedy. The True Life Documentary is finally aired when Ashley breaks up with Spencer and moves in with Kyla in a loft. Everything is over between Ashley and Spencer and both try to move on with their lives, with Ashley and Kyla trying to act like sisters and Spencer turning up to someone least expected. Meanwhile, when the documentary of the prom night shooting is aired, the Carlin family along with Chelsea tries to come to terms with Clay’s death. Spencer and Carmen come closer to each other while Ashley has a troubled relationship with Aiden. Ashley wants Spencer back who is now in a relationship with Carmen. Aiden needs somebody to help him before he breaks down completely. Spencer goes through a break up with Carmen as Ashley’s old friend from New York has big plans to make her famous. Aiden and Madison decide to get together while Glen finds about Chelsea’s change of plans for the baby. Jake, who is trying to make Kyla the new It girl, realizes that he faces tough competition from Ashley who is also eyeing the position. Chelsea tries to face the loss of her baby. Spencer comes back to Ashley and surprises her. Ashley is keen on commitment after being back with Spencer. Aiden decides that he needs to move forward and reform his life. When Spencer’s grandmother comes to visit her on her 18th birthday, Spencer finds it difficult to tell her about her being homosexual. Meanwhile, Kyla and Ashley are humiliated when they have to sing on the national television, due to Kyla’s fake voice. While on a camping trip, Glen breaks down as he feels that Arthur gives preference to Aiden over him. Kyla tells Ashley the truth about her fake voice to get back into hr good books. Spencer enjoys herself with the hipster friends of Lily including Jonica while Ashley feels the pangs of separation. Aiden and Sasha confront a new challenge in their growing relationship. In the latest episode, Glen finally finds true love, but Chelsea is feeling guilty about her feelings due to Clay. Glen leaves everybody speechless when he confesses his love for Chelsea at the dinner table. Sean comes to terms with the fact that Chelsea wants to live with Glen while Ashley is nervous about Spencer leaving her to study in college while Aiden has a motorcycle accident. Spencer tries to convince Ashley to make a deal with Madison and the two girls finally reach an agreement about the singing and writing of songs while Aiden recovers from his accident with Kyla’s support and love while Carmen tries to find a way to live with the Davies girls. In the final episode of the season as well as the series that was aired on 12th December 2008, while everybody prepares themselves for a new chapter in their lives, Spencer and Ashley consider their future together and Glen and Chelsea make love for the first time. Aiden and Kyla plan for a Vegas wedding while Ashley throws out Carmen who tries to seduce her. After her graduation party Spencer consents to move in with Ashley.

Seasons Top Ranked Episode – On The Precipice

This was the sixteenth episode of the season which was aired on 12th December 2008. This one hour special episode also marked the end of the series which ran for three seasons. In this episode Spencer thinks about her future with Ashley who is ready for commitment. The relationship between Glen and Chelsea reaches the next level as they make love while Kyla and Aiden plan to have a Vegas wedding. Ashley throws out Carmen after she tries to seduce her and prepares herself to tell Ashley that she does not want her to go to Boston. After her graduation party, Spencer agrees to move in with Ashley at the loft.
